Contrast & Dark Mode: High-contrast color tokens meeting WCAG AA standards (4.5:1 ratio) with toggleable dark mode support. Keyboard & Focus Control: Full keyboard navigation across interactive menus, search inputs, and modal dialogs with visible focus outlines. Screen Reader Optimization: Semantic HTML5 layout structures, ARIA landmark roles, and descriptive image alt attributes. Motion & Reduced Motion: Animations respect system settings (prefers-reduced-motion) to prevent discomfort.

Velana International Airport provides specialized services for Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM): - Dedicated PRM check-in desks and priority boarding assistance. - Wheelchair assistance from curb to aircraft seat (arranged through airline operators). - Tactile floor guidance paving and barrier-free automatic glass doors. - Accessible washrooms equipped with emergency assistance call triggers in all terminals.

MACL inaugurated a dedicated Sensory Calm Room at Velana International Airport, designed specifically to offer a soothing, quiet space for neurodivergent passengers, children with autism, and individuals experiencing sensory overload prior to departure.
